Indianapolis, IN - Motor Speedway, Capitol and Downtown

We stopped at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to visit the museum and tour the speedway. I highly recommend….very fun. I hope to come back to see a race. However, I can’t imagine navigating 350 thousand people

We watched Next Gen level racers practice from the Penske box which was really cool.

Signs of victory!

The museum was very interesting as you followed the changes  in technology, safety and design.

One year, I gave Mark an Indy driving experience at the Texas Motor Speedway for Christmas and he drove an Indy car 165 mph. So he said why should I get into this? I have been in the real thing!

The track tour gave us the opportunity to play in the winners circle.

Downtown Indianapolis is really beautiful. Lots of historic buildings.

We, of course, had to visit the capital and join a tour.

We wondered around the downtown.

Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Ohio

It was on our way home, so we had to make time for a day in Cuyahoga National Park. One day is really all you need to visit the major sights in the park.

Cuyahoga Valley NP is outside of Cleavland Ohio. Designated in 2000 it is one of the newer national parks. A lot like New River Gorge small communities are blended throughout the park area.

Niagara Falls and Oh, Canada

My husband said if a ride on the Maid of the Mist doesn’t put a smile on your face, nothing will.

You can ride from the US or Canadian side. We rode from the US side. We were on their new all electric boat. No need to get tickets in advance.

The boat takes you into the mist and you will get wet!  It was a chilly day, but simply incredible.

We entered Canada by walking over the Rainbow Bridge. We noticed more scrutiny entering Canada (probably due to the war in Israel) with many people not allowed to enter. You do need your passports.

Stopped to view from the Canadian side and enjoy some pretty gardens.

We were starving and stopped for lunch at the Niagara Brewing Company in Canada. This my friends is what $125 looks like for lunch after a tip!  Smile. We needed food badly, to sit down, find a bathroom and get warm. So it was well worth it.

Dogs can cross with you to Canada. However, we left Ruby in the truck after visiting the US side of the falls.
