Bourbon and Biltmore or Bust

Retirement trip #2 - tonight we are in southern Illinois on our way to Bardstown, Kentucky tomorrow. It was a long travel day!  We started at 9 am and pulled in at 5:30 and glad to arrive at the Archway RV Park. A nice little place that lets you pick any available space.

We rarely visit a same area in a state two times. But, we visited the Kentucky Bourbon trail in July of 2019 and we loved it. Wonderful bourbon and a simply beautiful state!  Y’all it is seriously gorgeous- you need to put visiting Kentucky on your list!

We are headed to Asheville, the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Smokey Mountain National Park for some hiking and fall foliage views. We will stop in Nashville to visit our favorite niece (ok only niece- but Megan Hamilton is a super sweet girl!) before heading home. It is not a long trip - just 12 days. But we will blog along the way. Come along for a virtual ride!
